Our Story
KAYR was created by a team of people who have experienced Alzheimer’s and dementia in their own families.
We know first-hand how quickly caring for someone with cognitive impairment begins to shape the entire family’s life. The calls to check in. The appointments and new medications. The rising cost of support. The constant decisions about when to step in—and how to keep someone safe without taking away the freedom and routines that still make life feel like their own.
Emergency buttons depend on someone being able to ask for help. GPS trackers can show a location, but little else. Fitness watches were never designed for cognitive decline or the families navigating it. None of them addressed the full reality of everyday care.
KAYR does.
KAYR is a connected care experience designed specifically for people living with cognitive impairment. It gives families a real-time view of location, wellness and changes in routine, so they can stay informed, respond sooner and feel the peace of mind that comes from knowing more—even when they cannot be there. And for the person wearing it, KAYR supports greater freedom without making life feel monitored, medicalized or restricted.
We built the care technology we searched for and could not find—for our families, and now for yours.
